A vibrant new neighbourhood is taking shape in Castle Donington
Clowes Developments, Barratt Redrow and Wilson Enterprises are preparing an outline planning application for up to 1,200 homes north and south of Park Lane in Castle Donington.
We are inviting your feedback on the initial proposals to help identify the types of amenities and services that could be provided, and where residents would suggest they are located within the site. You can find out more about the development by visiting the site page, viewing responses to frequently asked questions, and providing your feedback through the community insight page.
The site is a proposed mixed-use allocation in the emerging North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC) Local Plan for residential, employment, and education uses, with associated infrastructure and landscaping. These ambitious and sustainable proposals will support the growth of Castle Donington as a Key Service Centre in northwest Leicestershire. As well as providing new homes, including 30% affordable, the development will deliver a range of new services and amenities for existing and future residents, including a new primary school, a local centre, a care home and access to large new and interconnected areas of public open space.
Pre-application Public Consultation
As the planning application is prepared and the masterplanning of the site progresses, the project team is inviting residents and local stakeholders to engage in the process and help guide how the site is delivered. You can provide your feedback using the contacts methods below. All comments will be reviewed and considered as the masterplan is developed before a second round of public consultation is held later this year.
